Am ddiwrnod gwych! Roedd Nant Gwrtheyrn yn wir ar ei orau ac yn well nag erioed ar gyfer priodas Rhiannon & Pete. Dechreuoedd y diwrnod yn Nghapel Glanrhyd cyn symud ymlaen i Nant Gwrtheyrn ar gyfer y wledd oedd yn ein disgwyl! Ond nid cyn stopio ar y ffordd ym mhentref bach Llithfaen er mwyn cael lluniau gwch o Rhiannon a Pete o flaen hen garej T G Thomas!

Roedd y niwl a’r machlud bendigedig dros y lan yn cloi’r diwrnod yn berffaith.

What a fantastic day! Nant Gwrtheyrn was at it’s very best for Rhiannon & Pete’s big day. The day started off at Glanrhyd Chapel before we moved on to Nant Gwrtheyrn for the reception and the feast that awaited us, that is not before stopping off at the small village of Llithfaen for some great snaps in front of the old garage of T G Thomas. I just had to have one last look at the amazing view of Nant Gwrtheyrn at dusk as I was driving up the hill where I witnessed the mist rolling in from the sea, it was a perfect end to an amazing day.

Roger & Sarah’s Wedding, Bodelwydden Castle 26.2.11

What an amazing day! Roger and Sarah are an unassuming, charming and lovely couple with a passion for photography. I was thrilled to photograph their wedding at Bodelwydden Castle and then on to the Imperial Hotel, Llandudno for some after-dark shot and WOW! did their patience pay off with some amazing flash-lit photographs. Sarah looked amazing. There are so many highlights, and laughs to talk about through the day, but let’s leave the photos to do the talking. Please enjoy the photos.

Lorna and Grant’s wedding, Plas Bodegroes, 23.10.10

Lorna and Grant were married in the beautiful St Cian’s Church, Llangian near Abersoch which is soaked with atmosphere. The Llanrwst Male Voice Choir sounded amazing, everybody including myself were blown away with the sound of their voices. The rain and the darkening evening sky continued this atmosphere outside when Lorna and Grant appeared. The ushers surprised everybody with ice cold Champagne in true Australian style but without the sun and off we went to the reception at Plas Bodegroes. Later there was a gap in the rain and the ever enthusiastic Lorna and Grant braved the dark and cold and headed for a glorious avenue of trees opposite Plas Bodegroes. The trees were dripping with rain, soaking the Bride, Groom and my assistant usher, we all worked so hard and the perseverance paid off resulting in the image below. Please enjoy the pictures.

Marie and Mark’s wedding. Vaulty Manor, Essex. 02.10.10

Vaulty Manor in Heybridge, Essex couldn’t have been a better choice for Marie and Mark for their big day, it suited them perfectly. The ceremony was beautiful, the reception that followed was the most colourful I have ever seen especially the multi-coloured dance floor! Enjoy the pictures…..

Leila and Mark’s wedding, Portmeirion. 11.09.10

Portmeirion was at it’s prime for Mark and Leila with beautiful weather for an emotionally charged day! Not only was it an amazing wedding but there was a surprise proposal too which brought a tear to everybody’s eye. Mark then fetched Leila’s walking boots and off we headed for the Portmeirion sands where they both ran and danced for the camera. Look out for shot with a beautiful rainbow which appeared across the Dwyryd Estuary, it couldn’t have been a more spectacular day..

Congratulations to Danielle and Steve!

Penrhyn Castle is around the corner to the beautiful Llandygai Church, we went there for a quick photo session before moving on to the reception at Seiont Manor. Danielle and Steve being very enthusiastic and intrepid fitted in a second photo session at the old Manor house. For the final shot, I imagined a picture that mean’t asking the two of them to stand on the top of a small stone turret. Thinking that this was too much to ask, I almost abandoned the idea but gave it a go just in case. Danielle was at the top of it within two seconds flat and had somehow kicked her shoes off at the same time! It was all great fun and I think that the pictures show it!

Rachel and Huw’s wedding, Seiont Manor. 14.08.10

Congratulations to Rachel and Huw!

Seiont Manor was an excellent venue especially for portraits with the old disused manor house making a great location. Rachel and Huw were game for anything. I saw two beautiful trees in the field in front of the manor house, I could just imagine the both of them walking hand in hand flanked by the trees in the background. We managed to find an ancient gate leading into the field and off they went with the sheep looking at them in disbelief! Please enjoy the pictures.

Kate’s fabulous 1950′s vintage dress and bright red petticoat stole the show for the day. Ancient St. Tanwg’s church is situated right on the beach, what an amazing location! I had a great time, I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I had pleasure in taking them.

It was amazing to see the clouds and rain clearing with perfect timing for the ceremony at Bethania Chapel. It continued to our session in Penrhyn Castle! We were all stunned to see a hundred bikers passing by the chapel revving and hooting for the happy couple!

It was a baking hot day with deep blue skies, two modes of London transport, cabs and a fabulous old Routemaster bus. We arrived in style on the bus at King George V Dock to the reception on the boat Tereza Joanne which was amazing.

Trash the Dress with Andrea, Paul & Unico

Andrea and Paul commissioned me for our first “Trash the Dress” shoot. Andrea was keen to do something a bit different and wanted to include Unico, her amazing and very beautiful Portuguese bred horse. I suggested Black Rock Sands which is one of my favourite beaches in North Wales with its wide expanse of sand and plenty of evening sun, great for reflections. We were lucky, the dramatic sky was out with the sun shining, Unico was enjoying the camera, behaving perfectly. This is one of the most exciting shoots to date, in the end we were all soaked below the waist and caked in sand, not to mention Andrea seriously trashing her dress. Please enjoy..

Congratulations to Caroline and Matt on their wedding at Portmeirion. I hope the laughter can be seen in the photography, Matt and Darren had me in stitches first thing in the morning and the theme of fun continued through the day making it an amazing wedding. In the afternoon the tide was down and Caroline was keen to do a shoot on the beach in front of the Portmeirion Hotel. This has been a dream of mine and at every wedding at Portmeirion I always usually miss it. We only had ten minutes and headed off with trepidation but soon realized that it wasn’t going to be as easy as hoped. A muddy stream divided us and the beach. We managed to solve the problem, I ended up wading through it carrying the bride, feeling like a hero! My shoes were expendable whilst Matt’s weren’t, especially with the first dance at Hercules Hall coming up in minutes. I just didnt care for the state of my feet compared to losing these shots!

Congratulations to Heidi and Greg on their wedding on yet another beautiful summer’s day. The service was at the Parish church near Witney in Oxfordshire with a reception at the fabulous Edwardian country school house, Bruern Abbey in Chesterton. This is the second school which I have photographed this summer, the atmosphere was great and it had the look of a bygone and glamorous age.

Heidi and Greg were another wedding couple that had passion for the photography. I hope that I have done them justice.

Congratulations to Hafwen and Nick on their wedding. Hafwen comes from one of the most beautiful valleys in Wales, Cwm Pennant and they were married at the ancient Dolbenmaen Parish Church in the same area. After the ceremony, we set off to the neighboring valley Cwmystradllyn for a photo shoot at Ynys y Pandy slate works which was a fantastic and unique location. The reception was around the corner just outside Criccieth at Mynydd Ednyfed which is a wonderful homely venue with great lawns and views of the sea. It was another brilliant day for me!

Congatulations to Dawn and Gareth on their wedding at Llanfair Church followed by a reception at Meifod Country House Hotel.

The whole day was full of fun and laughter with Seren creating most of it especially during the ceremony! Meifod Country House Hotel was at its best with it’s beautiful gardens allowing guests to make the most of the lovely summer weather we had for the day.

As usual the staff at Meifod were extremely helpful, even allowing me to set up the candle light shot of Dawn in the library. I think that she looks fabulous!

Congratulations to Gavin, his beautiful wife Ann-marie and their little India on an amazing wedding day. For me this was yet another highly emotional day to witness. I felt so privileged to have had the best view of the ceremony, watching those moments through my lenses, and in this wedding there was a lot!

The reception was at St Dunstan’s school with it’s incredible Great Hall which was prepared by Anne-marie and her helpers. I went in to photograph it before the guests arrived and I had quite an amazing surprise, it was wonderful (see the pictures!).

My thanks to Gavin and Ann for giving me the time to shoot their portraits, especially the fire escape. The resulting pictures made my day and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!

Congratulations to Matt and Ffi on their wedding at the seventeenth century LLandyrnog Church. I was witness to a incredibly moving ceremony and, with Matt on the verge of becoming a priest himself, this amplified the emotion for everybody within such a beautiful old building.

The reception was at the Meifod Country House Hotel, Caernarfon. With its excellent gardens bathed in sunshine it made everybody reluctant to go inside for the dinner!
